Hopefully you were out over the weekend putting in miles and getting steps. It’s crucial to your progress that you prioritize recovery.
I had a discussion with one of my individual athletes this morning about the importance of recovery ESPECIALLY as we enter into higher volume and higher intensity periods of training. The old saying goes, “There is no such thing as over-training, only under-recovering.” Though that can open you up to some problems in your training, I believe it to be mostly true. The big takeaway is that serious training requires serious recovery.
