The deadlift is quite possible the most functional lift in the gym. No exercise is more real-world than pick an item up off the ground. Make sure you pick a variation that is best for you. Straight bar, conventional or sumo, trap bar or kettlebell; there are endless opportunities to make this exercise fit your situation. Never avoid deadlifts, just find the best version for you.

Deadlift variation @20X1 5-5-5-5-5-5
*Starting with a light weight, build over the course of 6 sets, working to a heavy set of 5 for the day
*Post weight to comments

As many rounds and reps as possible in 12 minutes:
10 step-down box jumps
8 pull-ups or body rows
6 dumbbell front squats
